Summary

Responsibilities

• Perform general surgical procedures including open and laparoscopic appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and hernia repair (TEP/TAPP).
  
• Conduct bowel resection, exploratory laparotomy, and laparoscopic adhesiolysis with precision.
  
• Carry out thyroidectomy and mastectomy following oncological and patient -centered standards.
  
• Manage anorectal conditions via hemorrhoidectomy and fistulotomy.
  
• Perform wound debridement and treat complex wounds from trauma or infection.
  
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
  
• Maintain accurate preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative documentation.
  
• Participate in on -call duties and respond to emergency surgical cases.
  
• Stay current with evolving surgical techniques and best practices through continuous learning.
  
• Adhere to patient safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
  

Requirements

• MBBS degree with a recognized postgraduate qualification in General Surgery (MS/MD in General Surgery) or equivalent.
  
• Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) and state medical council.
  
• Proven training or experience in:
  • Open & Laparoscopic Appendectomy
    
  • Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy
    
  • Hernia Repair (TEP/TAPP)
    
  • Bowel Resection
    
  • Exploratory Laparotomy
    
  • Laparoscopic Adhesiolysis
    
  • Thyroidectomy
    
  • Mastectomy
    
  • Hemorrhoidectomy
    
  • Fistulotomy
    
  • Wound Debridement
    
• Strong knowledge of surgical anatomy, physiology, and perioperative care.
  
• Excellent manual dexterity, hand -eye coordination, and decision -making under pressure.
  
• Commitment to patient safety, ethics, and continuous professional development.
  
• Ability to work effectively in fast -paced, high -stress environments.
  
• Proficiency in surgical instruments, laparoscopic systems, and electronic medical records.
  
• Willingness to undertake on -call rotations and emergency surgical responsibilities.
