### *Responsibilities*
- Perform a full range of general surgical procedures including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, mastectomy, bowel resection, laparotomy, thyroidectomy, and colonoscopy.
- Provide emergency surgical care for trauma patients, including managing acute injuries, internal bleeding, and life -threatening conditions.
- Conduct pre -operative assessments, develop individualized surgical plans, and obtain informed consent from patients.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and efficient surgical workflows.
- Manage post -operative care, including monitoring recovery, managing complications, and coordinating follow -up treatment.
- Utilize advanced laparoscopic and open surgical techniques to minimize patient trauma and improve recovery times.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records, including operative notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
- Participate in on -call rotations and emergency response protocols as required.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, quality improvement initiatives, and hospital -wide clinical audits.
- Mentor junior medical staff and contribute to surgical training programs when applicable.

### *Requirements*
- MBBS degree with a recognized postgraduate qualification in General Surgery (MS or equivalent).
- Valid registration with the Medical Council of India (or equivalent) and a current license to practice.
- Minimum of 1 year of post -graduation clinical experience in a hospital or surgical setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in performing appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, mastectomy, bowel resection, laparotomy, thyroidectomy, colonoscopy, and emergency trauma surgery.
- Strong understanding of surgical anatomy, infection control, and patient safety protocols.
- Excellent decision -making skills under pressure, particularly in emergency and critical care scenarios.
- Proficiency in both open and minimally invasive surgical techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex procedures to patients and families.
- Commitment to ethical practice, continuous learning, and adherence to hospital policies and clinical guidelines.
- Willingness to participate in on -call duties and emergency surgical coverage.
