YOUR IMPACT

As an Operations professional supporting Goldman Sachs' India Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC), you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing lending, funding, treasury, regulatory and operational activities across the entity.


The role provides an opportunity to gain exposure across the full NBFC operating model, spanning lending operations, treasury and funding activities, regulatory compliance, debt capital markets execution, financial reporting support and strategic business growth initiatives. You will work closely with Treasury, Controllers, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Governance, Technology and external market participants to ensure efficient execution of business activities while maintaining a robust control and risk management framework.

ABOUT OUR ROLES

The NBFC Operations team supports the end-to-end operating model of the India NBFC entity across lending, , treasury and regulatory functions. The team manages operational activities associated with loan servicing, bank borrowings, Commercial Paper (CP) and Non-Convertible Debenture (NCD) issuances, regulatory reporting, investor servicing, compliances with SEBI LODR regulations and risk management activities while ensuring compliance with RBI, SEBI and exchange requirements. The role offers broad exposure across the asset and liability sides of the balance sheet and provides opportunities to drive operational excellence, automation and business growth initiatives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the end-to-end operational lifecycle of the NBFC's lending and borrowing activities, including loan onboarding, disbursements, servicing, repayments and portfolio maintenance.

  • Manage borrowing activities across bilateral loans, Commercial Papers (CPs), Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) and other financing arrangements, including debt servicing, investor reporting and lifecycle event management.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders including Treasury, Risk, Finance, Compliance, Legal and Technology, as well as external counterparties such as lenders, investors, depositories, trustees, registrars, IPA, exchanges and rating agencies.

  • Support regulatory and statutory reporting requirements applicable to NBFCs, including RBI reporting, prudential compliance, lending and borrowing disclosures, and SEBI/LODR obligations for listed debt securities.

  • Monitor collateral, covenant compliance, security documentation and funding obligations while ensuring adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.

  • Perform reconciliations, exception management and operational risk oversight across lending, treasury and borrowing activities.

  • Partner with business and technology teams to enhance processes, improve scalability and drive automation initiatives.

  • Support audits, regulatory inspections, management reporting and strategic initiatives related to the growth of the NBFC platform.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related discipline.

  • 1–5 years of experience in financial services, NBFC operations, treasury operations, lending operations, securities services or capital markets.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills with high attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven and controlled environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and financial data analysis.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience supporting NBFC, banking, structured finance, debt capital markets, treasury or lending operations functions.

  • Understanding of credit products, loan servicing, collateral management and borrower lifecycle processes.

  • Knowledge of bank borrowing facilities, Commercial Paper (CP) issuance and Non-Convertible Debenture (NCD) issuance processes.

  • Familiarity with depository infrastructure including NSDL and CDSL, rating agencies, trustees, registrars, exchanges and other market infrastructure institutions.

  • Knowledge of RBI regulatory framework applicable to NBFCs, including prudential norms and regulatory reporting requirements.

  • Understanding of SEBI regulations, debt listing requirements and LODR compliance obligations.

  • Strong risk and control mindset with experience operating in regulated financial institutions.

  • Experience with process automation, data analytics and operational transformation initiatives.

  • Professional qualifications such as CA, CFA, FRM, MBA or Company Secretary will be an added advantage.
