Job Description - Global Sales Engineer - B2B

The Big Picture

The Sales Engineer will work closely work with the Market Acquisition team to meet acquisition and revenue targets by explaining the benefits of services provided by Illumine Industries to potential B2B customers in the United States, negotiate prices, and complete the sale. You'll play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by understanding customer requirements, proposing tailored solutions, and demonstrating the value of our services in the marketplace.

What you can expect as a Sales Engineer at Illumine-i:

  • You’ll build rapport with potential customers to win appointments and meet your monthly sales and appointment setting quotas.
  • You’ll meet team and individual competitive pre and post-sales goals
  • You’ll be capable of handling customer rejection and swaying opinions
  • You’ll deliver technical presentations explaining services to prospective customers.
  • You’ll expected to learn technical skills necessary to explain benefits to prospects.
  • You’ll review prospect feedback and provide updates to the market acquisitions team for better product positioning.

Essential Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/Technology
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in understanding and articulating complex technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Sales Acumen: Proven experience in B2B sales or technical sales roles, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively across teams, including sales, engineering, and customer support, to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Someone who enjoys making cold calls
  • Ability to work in night shifts
  • 2-4 years Experience in talking to clients in the US

Great to have:

  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the Solar industry, including key players, trends, and challenges.
  • Salesforce Management: Experience using CRM tools to manage sales processes, pipelines, and customer relationships.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within client organizations.
