Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Marketing Platform (GMP)
Key Responsibilities
Tag Management (GTM) & Measurement Implementation
Build, deploy, and maintain GTM (Web) containers: tags, triggers, variables, consent checks, and folder/workspace organization.
Partner with product/engineering to define and implement a scalable data layer (event taxonomy, parameters, naming conventions, and documentation).
Configure and administer GA4: event tracking, conversions, cross -domain measurement, referral exclusions, and basic attribution hygiene.
Troubleshoot tagging and data issues using Tag Assistant and browser developer tools; perform root -cause analysis and propose fixes.
Google Marketing Platform (GMP) Enablement
Support measurement for CM360, including Floodlight configuration/validation and alignment with trafficking and campaign requirements.
Assist with conversion alignment across DV360/SA360 (where applicable), ensuring consistent naming, IDs, and reporting definitions.
Coordinate with media and ad operations to ensure correct platform setup for campaign launches and post -launch verification.
QA, Governance, and Documentation
Create and execute tagging QA test plans for releases and campaigns; validate across environments and devices/browsers.
Maintain a complete tracking plan, tag inventory, data dictionary, and change log; enforce release/version control.
Establish and follow intake and change management processes (ticketing, approvals, rollback plans, and release notes).
Privacy & Compliance
Implement consent -aware tagging patterns (e.g., CMP integrations, Consent Mode approaches where required) and ensure tags fire appropriately by consent state and region.
Support compliance reviews and audits by providing documentation of data collection, vendors, and firing logic.
Stakeholder Partnership & Enablement
Translate business requirements into measurement specifications and implementation tasks.
Provide training and guidance to marketers, analysts, and product teams on tagging standards, UTM conventions, and KPI definitions.
Required Qualifications
2–5+ years of hands -on experience with Google Tag Manager (GTM) implementation and troubleshooting.
Working experience with GA4 event modeling, conversions, and reporting validation.
Experience supporting Google Marketing Platform, especially CM360/Floodlight (DV360/SA360 familiarity is a plus).
Strong understanding of web measurement fundamentals: cookies, browser storage, request/response behavior, and common tracking constraints (ITP/ETP, ad blockers).
Strong analytical and documentation skills; able to communicate effectively with both technical and non -technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with GTM Server -Side and/or consent frameworks (CMP integrations, Consent Mode patterns).
Familiarity with BigQuery (GA4 export) and basic SQL for validation/reconciliation.
Exposure to additional MarTech/ad tech tools (Looker Studio, Meta CAPI, CDPs, tag templates, identity solutions).
Relevant certifications (GA4, GMP modules) preferred.
