The role

We are seeking a highly skilled ECommerce Enterprise Architect to join our dynamic Enterprise Architecture team as part of our growth strategy. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the newly established Ice Cream Technology function, helping build and implement a standalone, future-ready technology landscape for Unilever’s Ice Cream business.

As the eCommerce Enterprise Architect, you will define and drive the architectural vision across digital commerce within Customer Development, ensuring platforms, data, and digital capabilities are aligned with business goals to enable brand innovation, stronger consumer and customer engagement, and operational excellence. You will collaborate closely with technology and business leaders, partners, and Unilever IT teams to build a robust, independent IT function.

What you'll be responsible for

• Architecture Strategy: Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture blueprint for Customer Development.
• Application Standards and Governance: Enforce architectural governance and ensure compliance with enterprise standards and security protocols.
• Innovation: Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that enhance key commercial processes.
• Collaboration: Partner with Go To Market leaders to translate business strategies into scalable, future-ready technology solutions.
• Performance Optimization: Ensure CD applications deliver benefits and are optimized for performance.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all IH & OOH Customer Development application architecture.

We're looking for someone who

We are looking for a candidate with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, ideally within FMCG or innovation-driven environments. The role requires an understanding of dCommerce processes, including consumer and customer marketing, sales platforms, and promotion planning, along with proficiency in architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and modelling tools. Experience with sales systems, social selling, and integration patterns is important. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively within teams. Relevant certifications in Enterprise Architecture, Agile and scaled frameworks, as well as Cloud and Integration technologies, are highly desirable.
