The Opportunity
When you join PwC Acceleration Centers (ACs), you step into a pivotal role focused on actively supporting various Acceleration Center services, from Advisory to Assurance, Tax and Business Services. In our innovative hubs, you’ll engage in challenging projects and provide distinctive services to support client engagements through enhanced quality and innovation. You’ll also participate in dynamic and digitally enabled training that is designed to grow your technical and professional skills.
As part of the Business Application Consulting team you review estimates, support testing, and communicate with the onsite team. As a Senior Associate you guide and mentor others, maintain professional standards, and analyze complex concepts to deliver solutions. You support sprint planning, collaborate with teams from different locations, and participate in Center of Excellence activities.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and refine project estimates for your module
- Design and implement solutions effectively
- Facilitate testing and resolve client questions
- Maintain communication with the onsite team
- Join scrum sessions and provide progress reports
- Engage in Center of Excellence initiatives and training
- Assist in sprint planning and collaborate with global teams
- Analyze client needs and suggest improvements
What You Must Have
- Bachelor's Degree (B.E., B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, MSc, MS, BCA or equivalent)
- 5 year(s) of experience working in the Property & Casualty Insurance domain
- Oral and written proficiency in English required
- Hands-on experience configuring Guidewire PolicyCenter (e.g., product model, business rules, workflows)
- Professional experience working directly on the Guidewire platform, including Gosu scripting, UI configuration, and Data Model extensions
- Experience with Oracle or SQL Server databases, including writing SQL queries
What Sets You Apart
- Experience in SCRUM Agile methodology
- Knowledge of application servers like Tomcat or JBoss
- Analytical and communication skills
- Experience with SCM tools like GIT or SVN
- Sound knowledge in software architecture and design patterns
- Estimation, team leading, and mentoring skills
- Experience with at least two Guidewire implementations
