HAL - Operations Manager

Festivals From India is hiring for their client, Hampi Art Labs, who are looking for a dynamic Operations Manager who will oversee the day -to -day operations of Hampi Art Labs, both the residency and the galleries, ensuring its smooth functioning and alignment with the residency's vision and goals. This role requires exceptional organisational, communication, and leadership skills to manage logistics and support artists -in -residence.

About Hampi Art Labs:

Based in the temple town of Vijayanagar (“victory -city”) in the south of India, Hampi Art Labs (HAL) functions as an artist -first centre bringing together three distinct aspects of art making in the contemporary moment – facilities for large -scale production, an environment designed for artists to creatively retreat in, & galleries that present their opportunities for world class display – all spread across the same multi -acre space. 

Please note:

1. The vetting process for this role comprises 2 -3 rounds of interviews and may be followed by a brief assignment.
   
2. Festivals From India is hiring for this role on behalf of our client.
   
3. This is an on -site, full -time position based in Karnataka.
   
4. Salary band for this role is available upon request.
   
5. Accommodation at a minimal cost and travel support will be provided. 
   

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Management, Arts and Cultural Studies, or a related field.
  
• Excellent organisational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  

Essential Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in the arts or cultural sector.
  
• Proficiency in budgeting, scheduling, and project management tools.
  

Key Personal Attributes & Skills:

• Experience working in or managing artist residencies or cultural institutions.
  
• Familiarity with the needs and challenges of artists and creative professionals.
  
• Familiarity with fundraising and grant -writing processes.
  
• Strong leadership, team management, and strategic planning skills, with the ability to problem -solve, adapt, and work effectively in diverse environments.
  
• Passionate about the arts, with a commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive spaces for artistic practice.
