Primary
Objective of the Role:
To
lead and manage all domestic business development activities including
marketing, lead generation, client liaison, opportunity management, and
performance oversight of the BD team. Responsible for BD strategy, pipeline
growth, market visibility, and ensuring revenue targets are met.

Description (JD)
A.
Strategic BD Leadership
• Develop
and drive national BD strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Identify
and pursue long -term opportunities across all the segment and services of
railway engineering, inception to commissioning etc.
• Build
strategic relationships with key clients, government bodies, EPCs, OEMs,
consultants.
B.
Team Leadership & Oversight
• Lead,
mentor, and monitor BD Managers and regional BD teams.
• Allocate
leads, define responsibilities, review performance, and enhance effectiveness.
• Ensure
disciplined Customer Relationship Management (CRM) use, pipeline management,
and BD reporting.
C.
Marketing & Lead Generation
• Oversee
market research, client mapping, industry outreach, and visibility initiatives.
• Drive
liaisoning activities with ministries, authorities, and industry stakeholders.
• Represent
BARSYL in industry events, seminars, and client interactions.
D.
Opportunity & Pipeline Management
• Ensure
systematic monitoring of EOIs, tenders, empanelment’s, and all railway -related
opportunities across services such as DPRs, PMC assignments, audits, and
O&M advisory.
• Validate
opportunity qualification, go/no -go decisions, and capture strategy.
• Coordinate
with Bid Head for proposal timelines and bid planning
