We are seeking a seasoned Head – Finance and Accounts to lead our financial operations and ensure the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial management. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise across accounting, finance, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR), along with proven leadership in managing cross-functional finance teams. This role requires a forward-thinking professional capable of driving operational efficiency, implementing robust financial controls, and supporting long-term business growth through sound financial strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Leadership & Strategy

• Oversee the entire spectrum of finance and accounting operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Develop and implement financial policies, systems, and procedures to ensure efficient financial management and compliance with statutory regulations.
• Provide strategic inputs to the management team on financial performance, profitability, cost optimization, and business risks.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in line with corporate and regulatory standards.

2. Accounting & Compliance

• Supervise all general ledger functions, monthly/quarterly/year-end closing, and audit processes.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including direct and indirect taxes, company law, and other financial regulations.
• Liaise with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and regulatory authorities to ensure transparency and adherence to audit standards.
• Maintain the integrity of financial records and ensure accuracy in accounting across all departments.

3. Accounts Payable (AP) Management

• Oversee and streamline the accounts payable process to ensure timely and accurate vendor payments.
• Implement effective controls to prevent payment delays, discrepancies, and duplicate entries.
• Monitor vendor reconciliations, aging reports, and ensure strong vendor relationships while maintaining cash flow discipline.

4. Accounts Receivable (AR) Management

• Supervise the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely billing, collections, and reconciliation.
• Monitor customer credit limits, outstanding balances, and ensure healthy cash flow and minimal bad debts.
• Develop and enforce credit control policies to reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and improve working capital efficiency.

5. Team Leadership & Process Improvement

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounts team to build a high-performing and motivated department.
• Drive process automation and system improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement within the finance function.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA, CMA, or MBA (Finance) preferred.
• 14–19 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, and controllership roles.
• Strong command over Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and overall financial management.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, standards (IND-AS/IFRS), and financial regulations.
• Proven ability to manage large teams, multiple stakeholders, and complex financial operations.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
