Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Mechanical and Vehicle Validation function across vehicle, system, subsystem, and component levels, ensuring alignment with business objectives and product development timelines.
Define and drive validation strategies, test methodologies, duty cycles, reliability growth plans, and performance evaluation frameworks for new and existing vehicle platforms.
Review and approve DVPs, DVP&R reports, validation plans, test results, risk assessments, engineering releases, and validation sign-offs.
Establish robust validation processes using FMEA, field failure learnings, accelerated durability techniques, and root cause analysis to enhance product reliability and quality.
Drive Product Attribute Testing (PAT) and Product Attribute Leadership Strategy (PALS) initiatives to achieve targeted vehicle performance, durability, and customer satisfaction objectives.
Collaborate with Engineering, CAE, Quality, Manufacturing, and Product Development teams to ensure validation requirements are embedded early in the product development cycle.
Lead failure investigations, validate corrective and preventive actions, and ensure effective closure of field and validation issues.
Develop annual validation roadmaps, testing infrastructure plans, and capability-building initiatives to support future technologies and vehicle programs.
Optimize utilization of testing facilities, engineering resources, budgets, and manpower while driving cost-effective validation solutions.
Provide regular validation status reviews, risk assessments, performance insights, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Build, mentor, and develop high-performing validation teams while fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Promote the adoption of advanced analytics, AI-enabled validation tools, and modern testing methodologies to improve validation efficiency and product robustness.

Qualifications
B.E or M.E. Mechanical/Automobile Engineering
General Requirements
Strategic thinker with strong business acumen, agility, result orientation, and excellent communication skills.
Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and architecture, with hands-on experience in the validation and testing of vehicles, systems, and components.
Proficient in the use of testing equipment and transducers, including data loggers, measurement techniques, strain gauging, life estimation, and accelerated life testing methodologies.
Strong program management, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities.
Expertise in data analytics, reliability growth management, and governance practices.
