To meet our challenges we are looking for a Head Maintenance and Technical within the Manufacturing team to be based at our Gokak unit.

The purpose of Head Maintenance and Technical is to ensure KPI's for reliability maintenance operations for Mechanical, E&I, Engineering Stores is achieved as per defined standards.

Manufacturing Excellence Team Management teams - operations Internal customers – Operations, Workshops, Ware houses, Utility, HSE    Close coordination with Supply Chain Industrial Purchase, Finance, Stores , HR Process Safety , FS External – KSEB, KSEI, Dy Director of Boilers, Technical service providers etc.  

Your experience and talents will make the difference to:

• Lead the team of Managers / resources in Plant maintenance team – Mechanical, E&I, Engineering Stores & Civil
• Plan and improve the maintenance efficiency by work order flow management – CMMS
• Run reliability improvement program with continuous focus and working on key maintenance KPI’s like MTTR / MTBF / Emergency rate
• Oversee technical maintenance requirement of non-manufacturing areas as per the requirement of support functions
• Over seeing planned maintenance of all plant and machinery to ensure reliable operation with optimum cost
• Ensure availability of Electricity, steam and other Utility service for un interrupted plant production activity’s as per plan
• Coach and train the team members w.r.t to best maintenance practices, HSE
• Project governance – Prepare the Plant improvement / compliance / repair project and execute the same with in time line & budget
• Oversee maintenance excellence program for the plant as per the global excellence program, monitor and review critical KPI’s
• Plan and drive energy management program in line with annual production plan and support key stakeholders in sourcing optimised energy procurement
• Drive energy conservation program for the plant and optimise total energy consumption and cost
• Spearhead the continuous improvement program and support manufacturing excellence program for implement the program as per master plan
• Support HSE function to adhere and comply to global safety standards & environment guidelines
• Budgeting, control of maintenance expenses
• Inventory management
• Coordinate with external suppliers for cost optimisation programs like indenisation & alternate options exploring

Desired Experience: 15 to 18+ years from similar industries in mechanical operations.

Academics: Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering preferred
