Head - Manufacturing

Head of Manufacturing  will be required to lead, direct, monitor and
control operations and maintenance (O&M) activities of the company to
deliver reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable operations, including
overseeing and managing the activities of the respective managers and
contractors (if any). The incumbent will be responsible for seeing to
maximization of revenues by ensuring optimum use of resources to meet demand
forecasted.

The role holder is expected to provide strategic guidance to the team and tactical inputs to the management thereby offering the business a
competitive advantage and keeping the company ahead of its competitors in the
market

Review and co-create the enterprise-wide strategy with other Departmental Heads  for the company  to ensure sustainable and profitable growth.

Responsible for meeting demand forecasted in a cost-effective and sustainable manner

Continuously
endeavour to apply benchmarked industry practices including enabling technology and innovation in managing site activities and productivity initiatives

Drive operational excellence in site operations and maintenance

Identify risks and develop mitigation plans and strategies for optimising O&M revenues and expenses

Ensure, enable and monitor of implementation of organizational standards and procedures in Operation & Maintenance. Contribute and
assist in the improvement and development of standards and procedures

Prepare, analyse and track departmental budgets. Establish operating and financial objectives and manage resources with optimal
usage

Manage key business relationships with major suppliers

Build strong relationships with external partners, customers and regularly interact with them by attending sales workshops, seminars, events and
playing an active role in industry organizations

Benchmark
Production Process & Costs ( Internal & External) causing significant
contribution to EBITDA

Improve
Productivity per Man Day/Man Hour in each site by adopting best in class practices,
technology automation for improving leverage of Raw Material, Packaging
Material and Finished Goods  to achieve
appropriate cycle time with the objective of ROCE

Augment/Ramp
up production capabilities for meeting seasonal demands (Nil loss in revenue
due to non- availability)

Develop
capabilities/captive facilities for manufacturing new products or acquired
products from time to time.

Regularly review reports, conduct analysis of any shutdowns, and ensure

adherence
to company SOPs, processes, methodologies and tools

Ensure minimization of overheads

Review team’s performance on a regular basis and provide ongoing feedback

Groom and guide operations leads to ensure cost targets are met and KPIs are achieved

Oversee facilitation of a conducive work environment that ensures high employee
engagement levels in the team

Identify training needs for the team and recommend the trainings to the management

Basic Eligibilities :-

At least 20 plus years of experience in a
fast-paced dynamic business environment in managing large scale O&M processes preferably for an organization in the consumer durables
(experience in Kitchenware, Cookware, Appliances preferred)

Hands on experience of growing in the system
to a Manager in mass production environment with multiple manufacturing
processes and semi-automated environment with strong fundamental knowledge of
manufacturing, machine, maintenance and man management

Educational Qualifications :

Engineering Diploma/Degree - Mechanical

Requirements

Ability to conduct root cause analysis in order to eliminate repeated breakdowns.

Experience in Site management with respect to handling complex operation & maintenance activities

Sound understanding and technical expertise in maintenance procedures

Excellent leadership and people management skills

Excellent communication skills and superior interpersonal skills

Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making

Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
