Role Overview

As the Head of Architecture, you will provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership across multiple domains of architecture. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and governing the overall architecture strategy while ensuring that solutions align with business priorities and US healthcare regulations. This position demands a balance of visionary leadership, technical depth, and the ability to inspire and manage high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Define and execute architecture strategies that align with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements within the US healthcare ecosystem.
• Team & Culture: Lead, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary team of architects while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Development, Testing, and Product Support teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery of technology solutions.
• Architecture Governance: Establish and enforce architectural standards, patterns, and frameworks across the enterprise.
• Solution & Technical Leadership: Provide comprehensive architectural guidance on complex initiatives, ensuring business relevance and technical feasibility.
• Cloud & Infrastructure Strategy: Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based infrastructure roadmaps.
• Data & Security: Develop strategies for data governance, analytics, and security architecture, including robust threat modeling and risk mitigation practices.
• Innovation & Risk Management: Identify emerging technologies and architectural risks, drive adoption of innovative solutions, and ensure system resilience.

Qualifications

• Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading architecture teams in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
• Healthcare Domain Knowledge: Strong expertise in US healthcare insurance industry, including regulatory compliance.
• Architecture Expertise: Deep understanding of software architecture principles, frameworks, and industry best practices.
• Cloud Proficiency: Advanced experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, with hands-on knowledge of cloud-native design and optimization.
• Technology & Delivery: Proven track record in high-performance application design, infrastructure sizing, and tool adoption.
• Communication Skills: Excellent ability to manage stakeholders, influence decision-making, and drive cross-functional collaboration.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as HL7 and FHIR
• Strong background in data management, analytics, and governance
• Experience in security architecture and threat modeling
