We are seeking a visionary and highly creative Head of Design – Jewellery to lead the conceptualization, development, and execution of jewellery collections. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in design, trend forecasting, and product innovation, while balancing commercial viability with aesthetic excellence. This role will be central to shaping the brand’s design language, driving seasonal collections, and mentoring a team of designers.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Leadership

• Define and uphold the brand’s design vision, identity, and aesthetic across all product categories.
• Lead the entire design process from concept to final development, including sketching, prototyping, and refinement.
• Translate brand strategy and market trends into compelling, wearable designs that resonate with the target audience.

Collection Development

• Develop seasonal and core collections (fine jewellery, bridal, occasion wear) aligned with brand and business strategy.
• Balance creativity and innovation with material, cost, and manufacturing considerations.
• Collaborate with merchandising and marketing teams to ensure collections achieve commercial objectives.

Trend & Market Intelligence

• Continuously research fashion, lifestyle, cultural, and material trends.
• Analyze consumer insights and competitor activity to inform design direction.
• Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to stay ahead of global jewellery trends.

Team Leadership

• Mentor and inspire the design team, fostering creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
• Oversee workflow, timelines, and quality control for all design projects.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with product development, sourcing, and production teams to ensure design feasibility and scalability.
• Work with marketing teams on product storytelling, campaign visuals, and packaging concepts.

Innovation & Sustainability

• Explore and integrate new materials, techniques, and technologies into the design process.
• Champion sustainability initiatives in design and sourcing practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Jewellery Design, Fine Arts, Fashion Design, or a related field.
• 10+ years of jewellery design experience, including at least 4 years in a leadership role.
• Strong portfolio showcasing original jewellery collections and craftsmanship.
• In-depth knowledge of precious metals, gemstones, production techniques, and global trends.
• Proficiency in CAD tools (Rhino, Matrix, JewelCAD) and strong hand-sketching skills.
• Experience with luxury, fine, or designer jewellery brands is highly desirable.
