Build an engineering organization capable of
developing Loom-owned hybrid inverter and
BESS products
that are:

  • Safe
  • Reliable

  • Scalable from residential
    to C&I applications

  • Designed for Indian grid
    and operating conditions

  • Ready for domestic and
    international markets

Primary
objective: Build Loom's core power-electronics IP rather than remaining
dependent on OEM products.

Architecture

Own architecture for:

  • Hybrid inverter
  • On-grid inverter
  • Off-grid inverter
  • Battery inverter
  • PCS
  • Residential BESS
  • C&I BESS
  • Battery packs
  • BMS
  • EMS
  • Energy gateway
  • Monitoring platform

Define:

PV →
Inverter → Battery → Grid → Load → EV

system architecture.


B. Hybrid Inverter
Development

Lead development of:

  • 3 kW
  • 5 kW
  • 6 kW
  • 8 kW
  • 10 kW
  • 15 kW+
  • Three-phase hybrid inverter
    platforms

Key engineering areas:

  • MPPT
  • DC/DC
  • DC/AC conversion
  • Power semiconductor
    selection

  • MOSFET/IGBT/SiC
    architecture

  • Magnetics
  • Gate drivers
  • Protection circuits
  • Grid synchronization
  • Anti-islanding
  • Power-factor control
  • Harmonic reduction
  • Thermal management

BESS Engineering

Develop scalable BESS platforms from
residential to commercial applications.

Responsibilities include:

  • Battery pack architecture

  • Contactors
  • Fuses
  • Pre-charge circuits

Experience with LFP chemistry and large-format battery systems is highly
desirable.

BMS & EMS Development

Build or manage development of an intelligent
BMS capable of:

  • Cell monitoring
  • Cell balancing
  • Over-voltage protection
  • Under-voltage protection
  • Over-current protection
  • Short-circuit protection
  • Temperature protection
  • SOC calculation
  • SOH calculation
  • Fault detection
  • Event logging
  • Remote diagnostics

Develop EMS capabilities for:

  • Solar self-consumption
  • Peak shaving
  • Time-of-use optimization
  • Backup power
  • Grid charging
  • Solar charging
  • Battery scheduling
  • Demand management
  • DG optimization

Software & Connectivity

The inverter/BESS should become a connected energy platform, not merely
hardware.

Lead integration of:

The engineering head will be accountable for field failure rate and product reliability.


8.
Certification & Compliance

Lead product certification and compliance for
relevant Indian and international standards, including applicable:

  • BIS
  • IEC
  • IS standards
  • EMC
  • Grid-connectivity
    requirements

  • Battery safety requirements
  • Transportation requirements
  • Fire-safety requirements

Experience with certification laboratories and
regulatory authorities is strongly preferred.


9.
Manufacturing Transfer

Work closely with:

  • Manufacturing

The leader must build products that can
compete with Chinese and Indian manufacturers.
