We are seeking a highly analytical, proactive, and strategic Head of Finance to lead financial governance, strengthen P&L ownership, and enable data-backed decision-making across the organization. This role is ideal for a finance leader who thrives in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments and is passionate about building a scalable consumer business with strong financial discipline.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

• Lead the finance team to ensure accurate accounting, MIS reporting, and adherence to all statutory requirements including GST, TDS, audits, and ROC filings.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports for leadership and stakeholders.
• Establish and enforce strong internal controls, financial discipline, and compliance processes across departments.

Cash Flow & Operational Finance

• Manage end-to-end working capital cycles including payables, receivables, vendor terms, and cash optimization.
• Strengthen treasury operations, maintain healthy bank relationships, and optimize cash reserves.
• Oversee financial processes for a growing workforce and ensure smooth payroll and expense management.
• Evaluate and prioritize strategic expenditures while advising leadership on capital allocation and cost efficiency.

Strategic & Business Finance

• Collaborate with founders on fundraising (equity and debt), investor communication, and preparation of board updates.
• Build and refine financial models for new product categories, offline expansion, and international markets.
• Consolidate cross-functional data from sales, marketing, operations, and inventory to create holistic internal dashboards.
• Monitor unit economics, margins, and contribution profitability across all sales channels including D2C, quick commerce, and e-commerce.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure timely audits, tax filings, and regulatory submissions.
• Implement scalable financial systems, automation tools, and improved finance workflows.
• Identify financial risks across operations, supply chain, and revenue channels; deploy mitigation strategies proactively.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of experience in business finance, FP&A, controllership, or related leadership roles.
• Prior exposure to D2C, eCommerce, or consumer-focused businesses is strongly preferred.
• Strong expertise in P&L ownership, cost control, financial modeling, forecasting, and performance analysis.
• Advanced Excel proficiency; familiarity with platforms like Zoho Books, Tally, or similar financial tools is an added advantage.
• Experience working in founder-driven, high-growth environments is highly valued.
• Excellent business acumen, attention to detail, and a problem-solving, solution-oriented approach.
• CA / MBA in Finance or equivalent professional qualification.
