Job Description - Head of Finance

The Head of Finance will oversee all financial operations of the Foundation, including budgeting, PFMS/TSA -Hybrid compliance, multi -crore grant management, procurement oversight, statutory obligations, audits, forecasting, and financial governance.

This leader will work closely with the CEO, IIT Madras, DST, auditors, and financial institutions to ensure complete regulatory compliance and efficient utilisation of mission funds.

Requirements

CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent advanced finance qualification.
8+ years of experience in finance leadership roles.
Experience in grant management, R&D institutions, Section 8 companies, government -funded projects, or DST/DBT/MEITY mission organizations preferred.
Strong understanding of PFMS/TSA -Hybrid, government procurement norms, GFR rules, and statutory compliance.
Experience handling audits (statutory, CAG, grant audits).
Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
