Head of Group Accounting

The head of Group Accounting is responsible for the books of account for the entire Group, they must be in line with IFRS, local legal regulations and provide a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the company. Consolidations and establishing internal controls and and liaison with all stakeholders.

As India site lead, responsible for ensuring compliance with local guidelines, ensuring smooth functioning of operations  and supporintg all users. Drive company values and customer oriented work culture throughout the company.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Group accounting and internal controls for all entities in the Group including monthly closing, to provide reporting of annual audit and reporting to external and internal stakeholders within statutory or agreed deadlines.
• Manage Satutory compliances for all Group entities. and maintain relationships with Authorties, Auditors and Advisors to ensure that the Group is in compliance with the statutory financial requirements in all the locations where it operates.
• Ensure proper control over timely and accurate invoicing of Group revenue and management of accounts receivables to ensure smooth cash flow for the Group and minimize potential exposure to bad debt. Invoicing and followup must be completed monthly for each business unit.
• For India site, ensure that the company is in compliance with all prevailiang legislation. Timely and accurate reporting to authorities, compliance with labour laws, renewal of licences, etc. to ensure smooth, unhindered and continued operations for the company.
• Promote the Culture and Values of the Group in India, Drive morale and engagement of the entire team to ensure that we have a cohesive organsiation binding different teams.
• Handle all exceptions, disciplinary issues and take all actions necessary to safegaurd the interest of the company’s business at all times.  

• Chartered Accountant or equivalent (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Knowledge of local legal regulations for doing business in India.
• Over 15 years experience accounting functions with at least 5 of them as head of the department
• Experienced user of Financial ERP Systems.
• Experience in leading offshored activities as a process lead or site lead.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS (or other international accounting standards).
• Ability to function in a matrix organization with multiple stake holders.
• Proven experience managing multi-currency consolidations.
• Leading and influencing without direct reporting structures.
• Strong knowledge of process management tool and techniques ranging from client relations to task mapping and execution.
