We are looking for a Head of Growth Marketing – Marketplaces & Quick Commerce to own revenue-led digital growth across leading e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms. This role is highly strategic and execution-oriented, responsible for scaling product visibility, accelerating demand, and maximizing contribution margins through performance-led marketing initiatives.
You will operate as the growth owner for marketplace channels—driving strategy, execution, experimentation, and optimization—while managing a small team and working closely with commercial, brand, and analytics stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Growth & Marketplace Strategy
Define and execute growth strategies across e-commerce and quick-commerce ecosystems aligned with revenue and profitability goals.
Own marketplace GTM strategies for new product launches, premium SKUs, and high-value categories.
Establish clear growth KPIs including ROAS, CAC, contribution margin, repeat rate, and cohort performance.
Marketplace Advertising & Demand Acceleration
Lead paid and organic growth initiatives across platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, Zepto, JioMart, and emerging commerce channels.
Design and optimize sponsored listings, search ads, display formats, and promotional mechanics to improve discoverability and conversion.
Ensure marketplace campaigns align with brand positioning while delivering strong commercial outcomes.
Analytics, Insights & Decision-Making
Build a strong analytics framework to track campaign performance, funnel efficiency, and SKU-level profitability.
Translate performance data into actionable insights for leadership through structured dashboards and reports.
Identify scaling levers, saturation points, and underperforming areas to guide investment decisions.
Budget Ownership & ROI Management
Own and manage performance marketing budgets with a strong focus on efficiency and returns.
Optimize spend allocation across platforms, products, and campaigns to maximize ROAS and margin contribution.
Maintain tight budget controls, forecasting, and post-campaign ROI evaluations.
Experimentation & Optimization
Drive a culture of experimentation through A/B testing, creative iterations, bid optimization, and audience segmentation.
Continuously refine acquisition and conversion strategies to improve efficiency and reduce wastage.
Leverage platform-specific insights and algorithms to unlock incremental growth.
Team & Cross-Functional Leadership
Manage and mentor a Marketing Executive to ensure strong execution, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Collaborate closely with brand, content, design, supply chain, and category teams to ensure integrated execution.
Partner with analytics, CRM, and retention teams to align acquisition with lifecycle and repeat strategies.
Market & Competitive Intelligence
Stay ahead of evolving marketplace algorithms, ad formats, and performance marketing trends.
Track competitor activity, pricing strategies, and share-of-voice to identify risks and growth opportunities.
Required Experience & Capabilities
8–12 years of experience in performance or growth marketing, with deep exposure to e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms.
Proven track record of scaling revenue and ROI across marketplaces in a data-driven environment.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and influence decision-making.
Hands-on experience managing large performance budgets and complex multi-platform campaigns.
Experience leading small teams and driving cross-functional collaboration.
Strong business acumen with an understanding of margins, unit economics, and growth trade-offs.
