Head Supply Chain Management (EMS)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and result -oriented Head –
Supply Chain Management (SCM) to lead end -to -end supply chain operations
for a fast -growing electronic appliance manufacturing business. The role will
be responsible for strategic sourcing, procurement, material planning,
inventory management, logistics, warehousing, vendor development, and supply
chain optimization to support business growth, operational efficiency, and cost
competitiveness.

The incumbent will work closely with Manufacturing,
Operations, Finance, Quality, and Sales teams to ensure uninterrupted
production, optimal inventory levels, and timely customer deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain Strategy & Leadership

• Develop
  and execute supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives and
  growth plans.
  
• Drive
  end -to -end supply chain excellence across procurement, planning,
  logistics, and warehousing.
  
• Establish
  robust processes, systems, and governance to improve supply chain
  performance.
  
• Lead
  and mentor cross -functional supply chain teams across multiple locations.
  

Procurement & Strategic Sourcing

• Develop
  sourcing strategies for electronic and mechanical components, raw
  materials, packaging materials, and indirect spend categories.
  
• Lead
  supplier selection, commercial negotiations, contract management, and
  supplier performance reviews.
  
• Identify
  opportunities for cost reduction, localization, value engineering, and
  alternate sourcing.
  
• Build
  strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
  

Material Planning & Inventory Management

• Oversee
  demand planning, material requirement planning (MRP), and production
  support activities.
  
• Ensure
  optimal inventory levels while maintaining high material availability.
  
• Drive
  inventory optimization initiatives to improve working capital efficiency.
  
• Monitor
  and improve forecast accuracy and supply planning effectiveness.
  

Vendor Development & Supplier Management

• Develop
  and strengthen supplier ecosystems to support business requirements.
  
• Establish
  supplier performance metrics covering quality, cost, delivery, and
  responsiveness.
  
• Drive
  supplier capability enhancement and risk mitigation programs.
  
• Ensure
  continuity of supply through proactive supplier management.
  

Logistics & Warehousing

• Lead
  inbound and outbound logistics operations to ensure timely movement of
  materials and finished goods.
  
• Optimize
  freight, transportation, and warehousing costs.
  
• Improve
  warehouse productivity, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  
• Ensure
  compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  

Cross -Functional Collaboration

• Partner
  closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, R&D, and Commercial
  teams.
  
• Support
  new product introductions through effective sourcing and supply planning.
  
• Participate
  in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
  
• Ensure
  supply chain readiness to support changing business demands.
  

Cost Optimization & Continuous Improvement

• Drive
  procurement savings and supply chain cost reduction initiatives.
  
• Implement
  best practices in supply chain planning, sourcing, and logistics.
  
• Leverage
  technology, analytics, and automation to enhance operational performance.
  
• Lead
  continuous improvement projects focused on efficiency, service levels, and
  profitability.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's
  degree in Engineering; MBA/PGDM preferred.
  
• 15–20+
  years of experience in Supply Chain Management within electronic
  appliances, consumer electronics, EMS, electrical products, or related
  manufacturing industries.
  
• Strong
  expertise in procurement, sourcing, planning, inventory management,
  logistics, and vendor development.
  
• Proven
  experience managing domestic and international supplier networks.
  
• Strong
  commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  
• Experience
  in ERP -driven supply chain environments (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.).
  
• Demonstrated
  success in cost optimization, inventory control, and supply chain
  transformation initiatives.
