We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Hematologist with 2 to 10 years of experience to join our growing medical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with blood-related disorders and diseases, while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide holistic patient care.

As a Hematologist, your role will involve expert interpretation of blood tests, bone marrow biopsies, and other diagnostic procedures to accurately diagnose conditions such as anemia, hemophilia, blood cancers (including leukemia and lymphoma), clotting disorders, and other hematologic abnormalities. You will also play a critical role in developing personalized treatment plans and providing ongoing care tailored to each patient's unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosis and Evaluation:
    Perform comprehensive assessments of patients presenting with blood disorders. Order, conduct, and interpret a wide range of hematologic diagnostic tests including CBC, bone marrow analysis, flow cytometry, cytogenetics, and coagulation studies.
  • Treatment Planning and Management:
    Formulate individualized treatment protocols, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, anticoagulation therapy, or blood transfusions, depending on the patient’s diagnosis and medical condition.
  • Collaborative Patient Care:
    Work in close coordination with oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, surgeons, and primary care providers to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to diagnosis and treatment.
  • Patient Education and Counseling:
    Provide compassionate education, support, and counseling to patients and their families regarding disease conditions, treatment options, prognosis, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Research and Clinical Trials:
    Participate actively in ongoing clinical trials and research initiatives. Contribute to the advancement of hematology through evidence-based practice and publication of case studies or clinical findings.
  • Professional Development:
    Stay abreast of current advancements in hematology through continuous medical education (CME), workshops, conferences, and journals. Implement latest evidence-based practices into clinical work.
  • Quality Assurance and Safety:
    Ensure all clinical procedures and treatments are in alignment with hospital protocols and safety standards. Maintain accurate and timely medical records.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • DM / DNB in Hematology from a recognized institution
  • Strong diagnostic acumen and clinical decision-making skills
  • Expertise in performing and interpreting hematological investigations
  • Proficient in managing complex cases such as leukemias, lymphomas, hemoglobinopathies, and coagulopathies
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain medical terms to patients and families in an understandable manner
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Research aptitude and willingness to participate in academic or clinical research
  • Compassionate, ethical, and patient-centric approach
