Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques, and providing ongoing reports. They will identify trends and patterns, develop, and implement data analyses, data collection systems, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. They will gather and prioritize data requirements and help meet business group’s data requests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis & Interpretation: Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business decisions.
• Reporting: Prepare and deliver detailed reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
• Statistical Techniques: Use statistical tools to interpret data sets, paying attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics.
• Data Collection: Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with management and other departments to prioritize business and information needs.
• Database Management: Maintain databases, ensure data integrity, and perform data cleansing as necessary.
• Problem-Solving: Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets, and provide recommendations for business strategy.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with data governance and privacy standards.
• Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring a thorough understanding of business needs.
• Process Improvement: Analyze and identify opportunities for process improvement, making recommendations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics.

Good to have: A master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)) is a plus.

Experience: At least three years of proven experience as a Data Analyst, Business Data Analyst, or Business Analyst.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Excel, R, Python (Preferred).
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI).
• Strong knowledge of databases and data warehousing.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in an understandable format.
