Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Specialist with 5 to 8 years of experience in Java development and AWS API Gateway to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services within the Java-AWS ecosystem. This role is critical to building high-performance, secure, and resilient microservices that power our cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will play a key role in shaping system architecture, driving engineering excellence, and enabling seamless integration across cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for developing RESTful APIs, optimizing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring robust CI/CD practices while mentoring junior developers and contributing to long-term technical strategy.

Location: Coimbatore

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot
Build and optimize APIs using AWS API Gateway, including configuration of throttling, quota management, security policies, and IAM roles
Implement and manage microservices architecture using domain-driven and event-driven design patterns
Deploy, manage, and scale applications using AWS cloud services in a cloud-native environment
Collaborate with architects, product owners, and QA teams to define and deliver new features in an agile environment
Ensure comprehensive documentation for system architecture, API design, and codebase
Participate in CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline to automate testing and deployment processes
Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing software to improve performance, functionality, and reliability
Apply security best practices across application and API development
Monitor application and API performance, implementing optimizations for high availability and fault tolerance
Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices, including test-driven development and automation

Requirements

5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Java development and cloud-based backend systems
Strong expertise in AWS API Gateway, AWS CodePipeline, and AWS cloud services
Proven experience in designing and implementing microservices using Spring Boot and Java
Solid understanding of RESTful API design, security, and performance optimization
Experience with domain-driven design (DDD) and event-driven architecture
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows
Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to code quality and maintainability
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities within agile teams
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
