Summary:

The OpenText xECM Consultant plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-grade content management solutions using OpenText Content Server and related technologies. This position requires a deep technical understanding of OpenText ECM platforms, including Content Server, OTDS, WebReports, LiveReports, workflows, and form development. The consultant will be responsible for configuring and customizing solutions to meet complex business requirements, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability across production environments. With hands-on experience in Linux, AWS, REST APIs, and database optimization, the ideal candidate will drive successful deployments, migrations, and system enhancements while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, future-ready content management systems.

Location: Hyderabad

Responsibilities:

Configure, customize, and maintain OpenText ECM solutions aligned with business and technical requirements
Develop and enhance advanced WebReports and LiveReports for data visualization and analytics
Design and implement complex workflows to automate business processes
Integrate OpenText solutions with external systems using REST APIs
Build, customize, and extend Content Server components, including Smart UI and CSUI SDK widgets
Perform system administration tasks such as upgrades, patching, configuration, and maintenance
Manage large-scale data and document migration projects with high data integrity
Develop and configure forms, form templates, Active Views, and Perspectives
Create and manage categories, definitions, and volume structures within Content Server
Apply deep technical expertise in OpenText Content Server, OTDS, and database architecture
Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery
Support solution documentation, testing, deployment, and post-go-live enhancements
Troubleshoot production issues, resolve defects, and perform performance tuning
Optimize SQL queries and manage database schema, indexes, partitioning, and distributed agent configurations
Configure and manage facets and search capabilities for improved content retrieval
Maintain and monitor system health, performance, and logs; proactively identify and resolve issues
Work with Apache/Tomcat and other web application servers in Linux environments
Utilize AWS services including EC2, Lambda, RDS, and related DevOps tools for cloud-based deployments

Requirements

5-10 years of hands-on experience with OpenText Content Server and ECM solutions
Expertise in OpenText Content Server Administration, including upgrades, patching, and configuration
Proven experience in developing and customizing WebReports, LiveReports, and workflows
Strong knowledge of OpenText CSUI SDK and Smart UI customization
Proficiency in JavaScript and jQuery for client-side enhancements
Experience with object import/export processes and large-scale data migration
Solid understanding of OTDS architecture and integration patterns
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL database management and optimization
Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line administration
Practical knowledge of AWS services (EC2, Lambda, RDS, etc.) and cloud deployment models
Experience with REST API development and integration with external applications
Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues
Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
Experience with Apache/Tomcat web server configuration and management
Knowledge of facet configuration, indexing, and distributed agent setup

Additional Skills (Good to Have):

API and microservices development experience
RestAssured testing for API validation
AWS Cloud Architecture and DevOps practices
Linux and Apache administration
Advanced database tuning and query optimization
