Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Head to lead the end -to -end procurement function for a leading chemical manufacturing organization. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in strategic sourcing, domestic and import procurement, vendor management, cost optimization, and supply chain management within the chemical industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the complete procurement function.
  
• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business goals.
  
• Drive cost optimization and value engineering initiatives.
  
• Manage domestic and international sourcing, including import procurement.
  
• Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships.
  
• Oversee procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, and other critical inputs.
  
• Ensure effective inventory planning and uninterrupted material availability.
  
• Monitor market trends, pricing, and supplier performance.
  
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and processes.
  
• Lead and mentor a procurement team of 4–6 members.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. Chemistry / M.Sc. Chemistry / B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering (Mandatory)
  
• MBA (Preferred)
  

Experience

• 15–20 years of experience in Procurement/Supply Chain.
  
• Mandatory experience in the Chemical Industry, preferably Paints or Construction Chemicals.
  
• Strong exposure to domestic and import procurement, including packaging materials.
  
• Proven experience in leading procurement teams and driving procurement excellence.
