Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Consultant with specialized expertise in SAP Data Archival to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in designing and implementing strategic data archiving solutions that enhance system performance, reduce storage overhead, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The consultant will play a key role in shaping the organization’s data management strategy, working closely with functional and technical teams to align archiving processes with business needs. With a strong focus on system security, data integrity, and operational efficiency, this position ensures long-term sustainability and scalability of SAP landscapes.

Location: PAN INDIA

Responsibilities:

Design and implement comprehensive SAP Data Archiving strategies to improve system performance and optimize storage utilization
Collaborate with functional and technical teams to align archiving processes with business requirements and operational workflows
Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of data archiving initiatives across SAP systems
Conduct regular audits to verify compliance with data retention policies and regulatory standards
Support backup and recovery procedures, ensuring data integrity and system resilience
Guide archiving-related configurations, performance tuning, and troubleshooting

Requirements

6-11 years of overall IT experience, with 4+ years specifically in SAP Basis and data archiving
Proven experience in designing and implementing SAP Data Archiving solutions using SAP tools such as SAP Data Archiving (SAP DA), SAP Archive Link, and related modules
Strong understanding of SAP system architecture, performance optimization, and storage management
Experience working with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, or other SAP ERP systems
Knowledge of data retention policies, compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, SOX), and information governance frameworks
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams
Certification in SAP Basis or related SAP technologies is a plus
