Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

1. Room and Common Area Inspection

Conduct daily inspections of rooms,
washrooms, pantries, corridors, lounges, and other common areas.

Verify the availability and
functionality of amenities and furniture in rooms and common spaces.

Report deficiencies and damages
promptly to the concerned teams.

Ensure that common facilities
remain neat, hygienic, and operational.

2. Cleanliness and Hygiene
Monitoring

Carry out daily checks on
housekeeping standards in rooms and common areas.

Coordinate with housekeeping
personnel to ensure timely cleaning and rectification of deficiencies.

Monitor washroom hygiene and
availability of consumables.

Report pest infestations or hygiene
concerns for timely action.

3. Maintenance Coordination

Coordinate with the maintenance
team to ensure timely closure of complaints.

Follow up on pending complaints and
update wardens regarding the status.

4. Guest Room Management

Ensure readiness and upkeep of
guest rooms and associated facilities.

Coordinate housekeeping and
maintenance requirements for guest accommodation.

Verify the availability of linen,
toiletries, and other amenities.

5. Support to Wardens

Assist wardens in conducting
room-wise attendance and occupancy verification.

Support room inspections and hostel
audits.

Assist in implementing hostel
policies and maintaining records.

Help in regulating visitor access
and maintaining registers.

6. Discipline and Safety

Assist wardens in maintaining
discipline and ensuring adherence to hostel regulations.

Report incidents of misconduct,
safety concerns, or suspicious activities.

Support emergency response and
evacuation procedures when required.

7. Learner Welfare and Support

Provide immediate assistance to
learners who are unwell or in distress.

Coordinate with resident nurses,
wardens, and ambulance services in medical emergencies.

Extend support to new learners
during check-in and orientation.

Assist learners with routine
residential queries and concerns.

Requirement

·       Graduation
preferred.

·       Experience
in hostel, residential facility, hotel, guest house, or institutional
administration preferred.

·       Basic
knowledge of housekeeping, maintenance coordination, and record keeping.

·       Good
communication and interpersonal skills.
