Job Description - Hostel warden Required for a school in Mysore - ( Job ID - 23509)

Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage the daily operations of the school hostel, including student check -in/check -out, attendance tracking, and room allocation.
Ensure strict adherence to safety, hygiene, and security protocols within the hostel premises.
Monitor student behavior, address disciplinary issues promptly, and promote a respectful, inclusive, and positive living environment.
Conduct regular room inspections and maintain cleanliness and maintenance standards across all hostel areas.
Coordinate with teachers, counselors, and parents to support students’ academic progress and emotional well -being.
Organize and oversee extracurricular activities, study hours, and recreational programs within the hostel.
Respond to emergencies and coordinate with school administration and local authorities when necessary.
Maintain accurate records of student activities, incidents, medical needs, and attendance.
Implement and enforce school rules and hostel regulations consistently and fairly.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field (preferred).
2–5 years of experience in a residential or educational setting, preferably as a Hostel Warden or similar role.
Proven ability to manage student behavior, resolve conflicts, and maintain discipline with empathy and fairness.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in basic computer applications for record -keeping and reporting.
Knowledge of child safety protocols, first aid, and emergency response procedures.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts as required.
Reliable, trustworthy, and committed to the values of integrity, responsibility, and student -centered care.
Valid experience in managing residential facilities in a school or institution setting.
