Role Overview
The Office Manager plays a critical support role in ensuring smooth processes and efficient day-to-day business operations. This role combines HR administration, employee lifecycle support, compliance, and operational coordination, facilities and travel management, contributing to a positive employee experience and well-run organisational systems.This role supports administration for the whole organisation (UK and India) on HR and Business Operations aspects andoverall office management,health and safety for India locations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, HR databases, and personnel files.
Support payroll inputs, attendance, leave management, and benefits administration.
Coordinate background checks, contracts, letters, and policy acknowledgements.
Support implementation and maintenance of HR policies, processes, and compliance requirements.
Assist with performance management cycles, training logistics, and engagement initiatives.
Administrative Management:
Oversee and coordinate daily administrative functions, including day to day administrative tasks, record keeping, and office supply management.
Develop and implement efficient filing systems and document control procedures wherever needed
Be the point of contact for all official travel and related support for all staff and leadership
Office & Space Organization:
Implement systems for efficient use of office space and resources. Support any routine maintenance or upgrades needed. Support team with fit for purpose office premises as the need arises
Vendor Management:
Liaise with vendors and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services, including office supplies, equipment maintenance, travel and stay, IT and any other within relevance.
Technology Oversight:
Ensure that office technology, including computers, software, and communication systems, is up-to-date and functioning properly
Collaborate with IT support for troubleshooting and problem resolution for all existing employees and new joiners
Health and Safety:
Implement and monitor health and safety protocols within the office
Ensure compliance with relevant occupational health and safety regulations
Skills & Competencies
Strong administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail.
Working knowledge of HR operations and basic labour compliance.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Proficiency in MS Office; HRMS experience is a plus.
Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field. Masters degree in HR, Busines Administration, or a related field is an an advantage
1–2 years of experience in HR administration, people operations, or business operations.
Experience in startups, consulting, or professional services environments is an advantage.
