We are seeking a compliance -focused and proactive HR professional to manage end -to -end HR operations and statutory compliance in a coal mining environment. The role is vital for ensuring labor law adherence, managing workforce operations, supporting employee relations, and implementing performance management, all while contributing to safe and efficient mining operations.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, Mines Act, Coal Mines Regulations, CLRA, PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, Minimum Wages, Employee Compensation, etc.
Manage labour law audits, inspections, and statutory filings with government authorities.
Maintain statutory registers, employee records, and documentation in accordance with mining regulations.
Oversee contract labour compliance across contractors and outsourced workforce.
Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks and ensure statutory adherence.
Handle the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, induction, transfers, promotions, and separations.
Ensure compliant exit formalities for employees leaving the organization.
Supervise attendance, leave, and payroll inputs for mine and office staff.
Administer employee welfare schemes including insurance (Mediclaim, GPA), safety benefits, and statutory benefits.
Maintain accurate HR records for internal reporting and statutory compliance.
Implement and monitor PMS cycles for mine and corporate employees.
Support performance reviews, appraisals, and competency development.
Act as the primary point of contact for employee grievances, ensuring resolution in line with statutory requirements.
Promote a safe and compliant work culture in mining operations.
Drive employee engagement and welfare initiatives to enhance retention and satisfaction.
Prepare and manage HR dashboards for compliance, workforce utilization, attrition, and safety metrics.
Track contract labour ratios and productivity metrics.
Provide data -driven insights for strategic decisions to senior management.
MBA / PGDM in Human Resources, Labour Welfare, or equivalent.
5–10 years of HR operations and labour law compliance experience; mining, infrastructure, or industrial sector preferred.
Strong knowledge of Mines Act, Coal Mines Regulations, labour legislations, CLRA, Factories Act, and Industrial Relations Act.
Proven ability to handle audits, inspections, and compliance disputes.
Proficiency in HRMS, HR software, and MS Office.
Excellent communication, problem -solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Compliance -oriented with high ethical standards.
Ability to manage large and contract -heavy workforce environments.
Detail -oriented with strong analytical and reporting skills.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict -resolution abilities.
Ability to work under pressure in challenging mining environments.
