We are seeking a detail-oriented HVAC Design & Estimation Specialist to lead the planning, engineering, and commercial estimation of HVAC systems across industrial, commercial, and institutional projects. This role combines technical design expertise with costing acumen, ensuring that engineered solutions are both performance-optimized and commercially viable.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills in thermal load assessment, airflow engineering, and system selection, along with hands-on experience in drafting, BOQ preparation, and quotation development.
Key Responsibilities
HVAC Design & Technical Engineering
Conduct detailed heat load calculations using industry-standard methodologies.
Determine TR requirements, airflow (CFM) calculations, static pressure, and duct sizing.
Analyze system performance using psychrometric principles and apply appropriate cooling strategies.
Design optimized HVAC layouts including duct routing, equipment positioning, and airflow distribution plans.
Select and size equipment such as Air Handling Units (AHUs), Air Washers, Ductable Air Coolers, and Two-Stage Cooling Systems.
Prepare detailed technical drawings and system schematics using AutoCAD.
Commercial Estimation & BOQ Management
Develop comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQ) based on finalized HVAC designs.
Prepare cost estimates and techno-commercial quotations aligned with project specifications.
Review BOQs provided by sales/project teams and validate technical accuracy.
Support preparation of technical submittals, compliance documents, and tender clarifications.
Project Coordination & Stakeholder Interaction
Collaborate with project execution and sales teams to ensure technical feasibility and cost alignment.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and clients to clarify design specifications.
Participate in design discussions, value engineering exercises, and technical review meetings.
Provide technical inputs during project handover and execution stages.
Candidate Profile
Educational Qualification
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Required Experience & Skills
Strong hands-on experience in HVAC system design and heat load estimation.
Proficiency in tonnage calculations, airflow distribution, and duct design principles.
Working knowledge of psychrometric charts and HVAC performance evaluation.
Experience in preparing BOQs, cost estimates, and technical quotations.
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD for HVAC drafting and layout preparation.
Good understanding of HVAC components including AHUs, Air Washers, Ductable Air Coolers, and Two-Stage Cooling Systems.
Strong analytical mindset with attention to technical accuracy and commercial feasibility.
Effective communication skills for cross-functional coordination.
