IAM Operations Engineer

As an IAM Operations Engineer at Topsoe, you will play a key role in the daily operation, monitoring, support, and troubleshooting of our Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform and its integrations.

Your work will help ensure that identity lifecycle processes and access-management services remain available, reliable, and compliant throughout the employee journey—from joiner to mover to leaver. You will also help bring IAM platform ownership in-house as we transition responsibilities from our external partner.

In this role, you will:

• Take ownership of the daily operations of Topsoe’s IAM platform and its integrations.


• Monitor platform health, performance, and connections with enterprise systems such as SAP.


• Handle L2/L3 support escalations from the L1 Service Desk and resolve incidents effectively.


• Troubleshoot provisioning, deprovisioning, access-request, and access-review issues.


• Investigate failed or delayed identity transactions and analyze access models and connectors.


• Coordinate complex investigations with development, architecture, application, and infrastructure teams.


• Support testing, deployment, rollback, access reviews, audits, documentation, and continuous improvement.

• You will also help educate L1 support colleagues, improve first-contact resolution, and maintain clear standard operating procedures and knowledge articles.

What you will bring

You have experience operating IAM platforms and supporting identity lifecycle processes in a structured, service-oriented environment. You are analytical, methodical, and comfortable investigating technical issues with both business and security implications.

We are looking for:

• Experience operating IAM platforms, preferably SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC).


• A good understanding of provisioning flows, connectors, and identity lifecycle processes.


• Experience with IT Service Management, including incident, problem, and change management.


• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.


• The ability to prioritize incidents based on business and security impact.


• Clear documentation skills and experience maintaining operational procedures.


• Basic knowledge of APIs and scripting.

It would be an advantage if you have:

• SailPoint certification or a willingness to pursue certification.


• Experience working in a global organization with distributed teams.


• Knowledge of monitoring, alerting, and operational performance management.


• Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, or similar tools.


• An ITIL Foundation certification.


• Experience supporting access reviews, audit controls, or compliance activities.

Your new team

You will join a dedicated internal IAM team of four professionals and help build the foundation for Topsoe’s future IAM operations. Together, the team will take on responsibilities currently managed by our external partner and develop effective ways of working for long-term operational ownership.
