Job Title: Teacher Librarian

Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan, India

Position Overview

We are seeking an innovative and collaborative Teacher Librarian to lead the school's library and information services programme. The successful candidate will foster a culture of reading, inquiry, research, and information literacy while supporting teaching and learning across the IB continuum.

The Teacher Librarian will work closely with students, teachers, and school leadership to develop an engaging library environment that promotes lifelong learning, critical thinking, digital citizenship, and international-mindedness in alignment with the IB philosophy.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the school library as a dynamic learning hub that supports the school's educational mission and IB programmes.


• Curate and maintain a diverse, inclusive, and age-appropriate collection of print and digital resources.


• Guide students in independent research projects, exhibitions, personal projects, extended essays, and other inquiry-based learning experiences.


• Organize book fairs, author visits, reading challenges, literary events, and library activities.


• Provide reading guidance and recommendations tailored to students' interests and developmental levels.


• Oversee cataloguing, circulation, inventory management, and resource acquisition.


• Manage library budgets and recommend purchases of books, databases, subscriptions, and digital resources.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Library and Information Science (B.Lib.Sc., M.Lib.Sc., MLIS) or related field.


• Teaching qualification (B.Ed. or equivalent) preferred.


• Minimum 2 years of experience in a school library or educational setting.


• Strong knowledge of library management systems, information literacy, and research methodologies.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English.


• Proficiency in educational technology and digital resource management.
