IGCSE Chemistry Teacher (Middle School)

Salary range: Rs 1000000 - Rs 1200000 (ie INR 10 - 12 LPA)

Curriculum: Cambridge (IGCSE)

Level: Middle School (Grades 6–8)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic IGCSE Chemistry Teacher to become part of an innovative school community. The successful applicant will possess deep subject expertise, employ an inquiry-driven teaching methodology, and have the capability to make science both captivating and pertinent for middle school students.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons that align with the Cambridge curriculum

Promote conceptual understanding through hands-on experiments, demonstrations, and practical real-world examples

Create inquiry-based and student-centered learning experiences

Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of learners

Evaluate student progress utilizing formative and summative assessment techniques

Keep detailed records of student achievements and provide meaningful feedback

Incorporate technology and digital resources to enrich the learning experience

Work collaboratively with colleagues on curriculum development and interdisciplinary initiatives

Maintain a safe and engaging laboratory environment

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related discipline

A B.Ed or an equivalent teaching certificate

At least 2–3 years of teaching experience, preferably within the Cambridge/IGCSE curriculum

A strong grasp of pedagogical strategies for middle school students

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of the IGCSE framework and assessment methods

Experience in laboratory management and practical-based instruction

Familiarity with AI tools or digital learning platforms is an advantage

Excellent classroom management and communication abilities

Capability to foster an inclusive and engaging classroom atmosphere
