Job Responsibilities

Position: Imports Clearance & Forwarding Executive
Location: Pune
Experience Required: 3–5 Years
Industry: Logistics / Supply Chain / Manufacturing / Infrastructure
Reporting To: Manager – Logistics / Supply Chain

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Imports Clearance & Forwarding Executive to manage end-to-end import logistics and customs clearance activities. The role involves close coordination with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs authorities to ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining full compliance with regulatory requirements.

This position requires strong documentation skills, follow-ups, and the ability to handle shipment-related challenges efficiently.

What You Will Do

Import Coordination & Execution
• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers for import shipments
• Ensure timely movement of goods from origin to destination
• Track shipments and proactively address delays or issues

Documentation & Compliance
• Prepare and verify import documents such as Bill of Entry, Invoice, Packing List, COO, etc.
• Ensure compliance with import regulations and company policies
• Work on DGFT, ICEGATE, and other government portals

Customs Clearance
• Manage end-to-end customs clearance at ports and airports
• Liaise with customs agents to ensure smooth and timely clearance
• Resolve clearance-related issues and escalations

Tracking & Reporting
• Monitor shipment status and provide regular updates to stakeholders
• Maintain records of all import transactions for audit and compliance
• Prepare reports related to shipment status and clearance timelines

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
• Work closely with logistics partners, CHA agents, and internal teams
• Ensure seamless communication and coordination across stakeholders

What You Bring

• Graduate in any discipline (Supply Chain / Logistics preferred)
• 3–5 years of experience in import logistics, customs clearance, and freight forwarding
• Strong knowledge of import documentation and regulatory processes
• Hands-on experience with DGFT, ICEGATE, and customs procedures
• Good coordination, follow-up, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines efficiently
