Job Description & Summary: A career within the Corporate & International Tax profile
Responsibilities:
The tasks, roles and responsibilities pertaining to the job role of an Assistant Manager will include the following: ● Handling Advisory and Compliance engagements related to Direct Tax laws, such as Tax Structuring, Advisory, On-going Compliance, Litigation support, etc. ● Analyzing and interpreting provisions under the Income Tax Act as also provisions pertaining to International Tax, dealing with interpretation of Tax Treaties ● Conducting technical research and preparing memos, opinions, presentation, etc. on technical issues raised by the client ● Handling assessment proceedings, CIT (Appeals), Tribunal, etc. related matters and representation before the tax authorities and liasoning with the Counsels as may be required ● Proactively seeking opportunities to help the business grow and solving complex business problems ● Assistance in identifying pursuits and endeavoring to convert it to clients ● Developing good rapport with lower / middle level of client management ● Overall responsibility for execution of the assigned engagements and client delivery. Effective implementation and review of work programs. ● Coordinating with Managers / ADs / Directors on the planning and management of assignments ● Updating clients on on-going matters on a prompt and regular basis, keeping track of industry developments ● Taking technical sessions in internal Learning and Education (L&E) sessions Guiding and overseeing the work of Analysts, Senior Analysts and Associates
Mandatory skill sets: ● Thorough knowledge of - Direct Tax, Corporate Tax (Income Tax & DTAA) - Corporate Law & International Tax - FEMA and Transfer Pricing. ·

- Demonstrating innovative and critical thinking in managing projects - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong analytical and numerical skills - Well-rounded commercial and economic awareness and understanding of the financial markets - Good interpersonal and networking skills - Passion for client servicing - Number crunching ability - Excellent eye for detail - Efficiency in MS office and report writing skills - Motivated, creative and decisive in approach to problem solving Ownership and responsibility of clients/tasks delegated
