Roles & Responsibilities :



As a BTP developer, primary responsibility is to design build and deployment of applications and extensions built on BTP or other clean core technologies like SAP Build, SAP BTP ABAP environment, etc.

Tasks for this role include:

• Should be able to understand the business needs and design the solutions leveraging applicable BTP components and services

• Build next generation SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP applications and extensions adhering agile development methodology

• Ensure the quality reviews are conducted and participate in project quality management tasks such as peer and quality reviews of specifications, design documents and code reviews

• Evaluating and using SAP BTP Services

• Driving quality and standards in our software engineering community, providing and discussing innovative solution approaches and suggestions for improvement in the development

• Work closely with project stakeholders to ensure successful project completion

• Continually enhance existing skills and seek new areas for personal development

• Should be able learn and understand the business processes

Educational qualification:

Resource should have an Professional graduation in Engineering or equivalent qualification

• Additional Associated degree preferred

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service

• Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices

Experience :

6+ years of hands-on development experience on SAP S/4HANA

2+ years of experience on SAP BTP

Skills Requirements:

6+ years of hands-on development experience on SAP S/4HANA

2+ years of experience on SAP BTP

Programming languages and skills: ABAP, Java or JavaScript (in Side-by-Side and Core scenarios), Node.JS

UI development experience with HTML5, SAPUi5/Fiori

Development experience with two or more BTP extension technologies: 

• Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP)

• ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)

• SAP S/4HANA Cloud ABAP Environment (Embedded Steampunk)

• Low-Code/No-Code platform for Citizen Development 

• Workflow Management

• Knowledge of databases features (HANA) 

Working knowledge of tools: 

• SAP ABAP Development Tools (ADT)

• SAP Business Application Studio (BAS)

• SAP Build Apps is a plus

Experienced with the generic web development stack and standard web development technologies

Understanding of the BTP platform business values, technical architecture, and catalogue of services

Familiarity with platform services generally used for technical tasks, like Audit Log, HANA Cloud, Notifications, Cloud Foundry, CI/CD, SAP Business Application Studio, Transport Management, and connectivity

Good communication skills
