Job Summary
The Assistant Manager – Finance is responsible for supporting the organization's financial planning, accounting, compliance, reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. The role ensures timely and accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, cash flow management, and provides analytical support for business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure accurate accounting entries in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
Review general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and closing activities.
Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
Track budget vs. actual performance and analyze variances.
Support business units with financial analysis and cost optimization initiatives.
Compliance & Taxation
Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory filings (India-specific, if applicable).
Liaise with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and tax consultants during audits.
Cash Flow & Treasury
Monitor daily cash flow and working capital requirements.
Support banking operations, fund management, and payment planning.
Review Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable and support the supervisors with operational and financial efficiency
Assist in preparing cash flow forecasts.
MIS & Business Analysis
Prepare periodic MIS reports and dashboards for management.
Analyze financial performance, profitability, and key business metrics.
Provide insights to support strategic and operational decisions.
Internal Controls & Process Improvement
Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and company policies.
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.
Support ERP implementation and finance automation initiatives where required.
Qualifications
CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) / M.Com or equivalent qualification.
3–7 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Tally, etc.).
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Financial analysis and budgeting expertise.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
