India - Support Functions Supervisor

We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Function Supervisor in our Support Function Team in India-Mumbai-Airoli.

Job Purpose:

• Lead the Support Function New Zealand team to ensure the smooth service delivery in an efficient way.


• Determine the objectives for the team members to meet business operation expectations.


• Coordinate closely with ISS NZ and vendors for managing the process in systematic way.


• Managing expectations from customers in terms of service deliveries.


• Ensure promptness of each task completion as per KPI.
  
  
  Duties and Responsibilities
  
  


• Manage team and direct their activities for meeting the service arrangements


• Groom the team members by providing adequate trainings programs.


• Arrange the team meetings to discuss on the service arrangements and any shortfalls while handling the service.


• Maintain the Minutes of Meetings after the regular team meet.


• Monitor team performance to ensure set goals/KPI’s are met.


• Ensure Accuracy maintained by the team while updating the Systems – OneDA & Optic.


• Supervise and maintain the team’s Vessel list.


• Handle leaves and week offs for the team members and prepare the Rota accordingly.


• To work with all colleagues in a friendly, business focused, proactive and cooperative manner.
  
  Operations
  
  
  


• Contribute to increasing team efficiency by giving support both operationally and administratively.


• Review the process is in line with regards to the New Zealand Government Authorities (Customs, MPI and port securities), for service arrangements.


• Review the vessel’s service arrangement – booking of vendors (Transportation, Launch, etc.) for service deliveries.


• Ensure the process is in line with the Working Instructions and Checklists


• Maintain training tracker for all the new joiners.


• Support and assist customer in their any ad hoc service enquiries.


• Handle the customer grievances if any, in very efficient way.

Reporting

• Prepare and submit various reports / analysis as required by the Asst. Manager.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  Academic Qualification
  


• Mandatory - Graduate in any stream.


• Desirable – Shipping and port operations related courses will be added advantage.
  
  Experience


• Working experience in Port agency business and / or with Ship / crew Management companies.


• Experience in handling husbandry/non-commercial jobs.


• Experience in vendor management.


• Must be experienced in leading a team.


• Experience in training the team members.
