The Network Security Lead is responsible for protecting the Amdocs’s and Customer’s network infrastructure from cyber threats by implementing and maintaining security measures, monitoring network traffic, and responding to security incidents. This role involves working closely with IT/Delivery/Infrastructure/Operations and cybersecurity teams to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of network systems.
Network Security Operations:
Monitor, analyze, and respond to network security events and alerts.
Configure and manage Web Application Firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and other security appliances.
Incident Response:
Investigate and respond to security incidents.
Document incident findings and recommend remediation actions.
Collaborate with SOC and other teams during incident containment and recovery.
Policy and Compliance:
Ensure network security policies and procedures align with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST 800-171, CIS).
Support audits and compliance initiatives (e.g.,PCI-DSS, CMMC Level2 or 3, SOC2 Type I & II).
Maintain documentation of network security architecture and controls.
Architecture and Design:
Assist in designing secure network architectures for new projects and systems.
Evaluate and recommend security technologies and solutions.
Implement segmentation and zero-trust principles across the ecosystem.
Threat Intelligence & Risk Management:
Stay updated on emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
Perform risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
Integrate threat intelligence feeds into network monitoring tools.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
8–10 years of experience in network security or cybersecurity roles.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network protocols.
Experience with security tools such as firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco), IDS/IPS, SIEM, and NAC.
Experience with Web Application Firewalls like Imperva, Akamai
Familiarity with cloud networking and security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience with SIEM tools like ArcSight, Splunk, Elastic
Preferred Certifications:
Cybersecurity: CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+
Cloud Security: AWS / Azure Certified Associate
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
