Job Description - Information Technology Support Specialist

Position: IT Support Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $50–$70/hour
Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

  • Build long-horizon IT tasks with deterministic rubrics to evaluate agent performance.
  • Develop scenarios in Helpdesk with tickets having known resolutions and diagnostic steps.
  • Create Identity and Access scenarios for provisioning with defined role-based outcomes and SSO/MFA issues.
  • Design Endpoint and SaaS scenarios for device setup and license management against specified targets.
  • Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and improve task quality.
  • Collaborate to ensure tasks have checkable answers without subjective judgment.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • 2+ years in IT support, helpdesk, or sysadmin.
  • Expertise in identity and access (Okta, Active Directory, Entra ID), endpoint management (Jamf, Intune), M365 or Google Workspace admin, ticketing ops (Jira, ServiceNow).
  • Comfortable with IT artifacts: tickets, runbooks, access-change requests, incident write-ups.
  • Clear written communication; can articulate reasoning and encode it into deterministic rubrics.

Preferred

  • CompTIA, ITIL, or equivalent certifications.
