Job Description & Summary: About Assurance services: The Firm's Assurance Services provides assurance on the financial performance and operations of a client’s business, helps businesses improve external financial reporting and adapt to new regulatory requirements as per state laws/international standards. The Assurance group can also help organizations report externally on non financial information, strengthen its corporate governance procedures, and achieve social and economic goals related to corporate sustainability. Financial audits provide an independent opinion on a company's financial report and are a critical element in the capital markets system. ABOUT CMAAS: Capital Market and Accounting Advisory Services is a dedicated global team of professionals that provides high value advisory services under IFRS, Indian GAAP and Ind AS along with capital markets services. Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced Zuora Revenue Recognition Consultant with hands-on implementation, production support, and reporting experience. The consultant will support end-to-end Zuora Revenue Recognition initiatives, including requirements gathering, configuration, data preparation, testing, release management, production issue resolution, and revenue analytics. The role requires strong knowledge of Zuora Revenue Recognition processes, integration with CRM and ERP applications, and basic understanding of ASC 606 / IFRS 15.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and support Zuora Revenue Recognition implementation activities across the project lifecycle. • Work with Finance, Revenue Accounting, IT, and business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements. • Configure Zuora Revenue Recognition based on business requirements and approved solution designs. • Support data preparation, data mapping, validation, reconciliation, and migration activities. • Prepare and execute test scenarios for unit testing, system integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing. • Analyze and resolve defects identified during testing and implementation phases. • Support release management, deployment planning, cutover activities, and post-go-live stabilization. • Provide production support, including incident management, bug fixing, root cause analysis, and issue resolution. • Manage intake and assessment of enhancements, new features, and business change requests. • Support quarterly, half-yearly, and other scheduled release cycles. • Apply basic understanding of revenue recognition standards, including ASC 606 and IFRS 15, to support business and accounting requirements. • Understand and support integrations between Zuora Revenue Recognition, CRM applications, and ERP applications. • Analyze end-to-end data flows, interface issues, reconciliation gaps, and data quality issues across integrated systems. • Work with Zuora Revenue Analytics to support revenue reporting, dashboards, analytics, validation, and business insights. Create and maintain functional documents, configuration documents, test scripts, issue logs, release notes, and support documentation.
Mandatory skill sets: • 6–10 years of experience in revenue recognition systems, finance systems, or enterprise application implementation/support. • Hands-on implementation experience with Zuora Revenue Recognition. • Strong understanding of the implementation lifecycle, including requirements gathering, configuration, data preparation, testing, deployment, and release management. • Ability to work effectively with Finance, Revenue Accounting, IT, and business stakeholders.
Preferred skill sets: • Experience supporting Zuora Revenue Recognition production environments. • Working knowledge of incident management, defect resolution, enhancement intake, and release support processes. • Basic understanding of ASC 606 / IFRS 15 revenue recognition standards. • Strong understanding of Zuora Revenue Recognition integration with CRM and ERP applications. • Experience with data validation, reconciliation, integration testing, and issue resolution. • Solid working experience with Zuora Revenue Analytics for revenue reporting and analytics. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills. • Experience supporting month-end, quarter-end, or year-end revenue accounting activities. • Exposure to financial controls or SOX-compliant environments. • Working knowledge of SQL or reporting/data analysis tools is a plus. • Zuora Revenue Recognition training or certification is preferred.
