Job Description & Summary: A career within Direct Tax – Corporate Tax (TDC) will provide an opportunity to work on core tax compliance, internal review, and technical research aligned with regulatory requirements. You will support internal teams in ensuring accurate tax reporting, adherence to statutory provisions, and efficient execution of compliance processes.
Responsibilities:
Managing internal tax compliance processes including preparation and review of corporate tax computations, returns, and related workings
Interpreting provisions under the Income Tax Act, DTAA, and International Tax regulations for internal application and documentation
Conducting technical research and preparing internal memos, notes, and presentations on tax matters
Supporting litigation and assessment processes through documentation, data collation, and coordination with internal stakeholders
Monitoring regulatory updates and ensuring timely incorporation into internal processes and documentation
Assisting in development and standardization of internal templates, working papers, and compliance checklists
Coordinating with senior team members on planning and execution of compliance activities
Ensuring quality control, accuracy, and timely completion of assigned deliverables
Supporting internal knowledge sharing initiatives including preparation of technical materials and sessions
Guiding junior team members (Analysts / Associates) and reviewing their work for accuracy and completeness
Contributing to process improvement initiatives and automation of routine compliance activities
Mandatory skill sets: Strong understanding of Direct Tax / Corporate Tax (Income Tax & DTAA)
Knowledge of Corporate Law and International Tax concepts
Familiarity with FEMA and Transfer Pricing fundamentals
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Attention to detail and high accuracy in execution
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Good written and verbal communication skills
Preferred skill sets: Prior experience in Big 4 or similar professional services firm in corporate tax compliance
Exposure to automation / process improvement initiatives
Ability to interpret complex regulations and translate into structured internal outputs
Strong organizational and documentation skills
Years of experience required: 3 years minimum
Education qualification: CA/CS/LLB
