Integration / Backend Engineer

Your Key Responsibilities

• Develop backend services, APIs, and integration components for medias


• Implement and maintain backend logic for the BFF / SAP façade and related integration services


• Support integration between SAP Commerce, ePIM, ERP, CMS, and other connected systems


• Implement API contracts, data mappings, and error handling according to defined standards


• Support orchestration of data flows and backend business logic across enterprise systems


• Analyze and resolve backend and integration-related defects and issues


• Contribute to backlog refinement by helping translate requirements into implementable technical tasks


• Write and maintain unit and integration tests


• Follow coding standards, integration patterns, and documentation requirements


• Collaborate closely with Senior Integration / Backend Engineers, Solution Architects, Frontend engineers, Platform / DevOps engineers, QA, the Product Owner, and implementation partners


• Contribute to technical documentation, interface documentation, and operational handover materials


• Support end-to-end testing through backend and integration implementation, defect fixing, and technical test support


• Support release readiness activities and backend-related production rollout preparation


• Collaborate with vendors and external service providers within assigned delivery scope


• Provide 2nd level support and contribute to 3rd level support for backend and integration topics in line with ITIL-based support processes


• Support performance, stability, and maintainability improvements in backend and integration services

Your Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics & Modeling, or a comparable field


• 6 years of professional experience in backend engineering and system integration


• Hands-on experience in backend development, enterprise integration, and API implementation


• Good experience with Java / Spring or comparable enterprise backend technologies


• Good understanding of REST APIs, JSON/XML, backend services, and error handling


• Experience integrating enterprise platforms such as eCommerce, PIM, ERP, CMS, or similar systems is an advantage


• Ability to work in structured delivery environments and collaborate effectively across teams


• Experience with SAP Commerce Cloud and BFF / aggregation layer patterns is a plus
