Investment Analyst - India

Position Purpose:  

This role will support the Investment Management team for data reporting and analysis for the following three businesses, Government Savings, Future Plan and Copilot Retirement.  The role will focus on internal and external reporting as well as contact with Morningstar data provider and to function as primary source for retrieval of investment data, performance reporting and maintenance of databases.

Role and Key Responsibilities

• Extract data from databases, primarily Morningstar for use in fund oversight, client reporting and periodic investment analysis for the team.             
• Primary interface with Morningstar to provide performance and holdings data as well as troubleshooting.      
• Create, proofread, and distribute performance reporting to external clients.
• Own various investment management databases, documenting allocation changes, glidepath and underlying funds.
• Responsible for sending Monthly and Quarterly Performance reports.
• Responsible for Mutual Fund / ETF/ Money Market / Benchmark and Portfolio Holdings Data downloads from Morningstar and various external websites and internal sources.
• Customized factsheet data extracted from Morningstar for each Copilot model, to be delivered to Marketing with 10 business days of quarter end.
• Review and verify final factsheets for accuracy before distribution.
• Reports to be downloaded with 100% Accuracy.  
• Responsible for keeping plan data accurate and up to date in the Morningstar system.
• Responsible for Portfolio and Underlying performance and Allocation Data for Annual Audit process.
• To Extract Morningstar data on star rating and MS medalist ratings.
• To extract additional Morningstar data on CITs, not found within mutual fund / ETF screens.
• Customized factsheet data extracted from Morningstar for each Copilot model, to be delivered to Marketing with 10 business days of quarter end.
• Review and verify final factsheets for accuracy before distribution.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, change driven environment.
• Adherence to all company policies and procedures.
• Responsible for protecting, securing and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

Education and Experience:

• Commerce Graduate / Postgraduate in Finance background.
• Proven track record of working effectively in flexible work environment in a result-oriented approach with 2-4 years of experience in Finance/Investment management.
• Microsoft excel skills include data retrieval, ability to build analytical models.
• Morningstar database skills: Downloads, report building, asset allocation, and risk modeling.
• Comfort with database usage and data retrieval.
