Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IOT / Azure Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust and secure IOT solutions for the bp fleet of ships. This role will be crucial in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of our IOT infrastructure, from data ingestion to advanced analytics and visualization.

Job Responsibilities:

· Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure IOT infrastructure within the Azure cloud environment, including IOT Hub and Microsoft EFLOW

· Ensure the security and integrity of IOT data and infrastructure, adhering to best practices in digital security and data governance.

· Participate in group problem-solving initiatives to address complex technical challenges and optimize IOT and on-ship solutions.

· Communicate technical concepts and solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

· Contribute to the development and evolution of the company's data strategy and governance framework for IOT.

· Support and enhance the IT infrastructure on board the bp ships – physical and virtual servers, networking equipment and CoTS applications.

Job Qualifications:

· 3 years of relevant experience in Windows-centric infrastructure design and support role with a background in end-to-end support of IT environments (hardware and software stacks).

· Good experience in supporting Windows Server, including Windows Server 2019, ESXI, Hyper-V and Azure Stack HCI/Azure Local infrastructures.

· Good experience in supporting Windows 11 Operating Systems.

· Experience in managing the infrastructure and deployed servers of remote branch offices, preferably experience in the maritime industry.

· Good PowerShell scripting skills and ability to automate Microsoft Windows server and client jobs.

· The ability to consume business requirements and translate them into deliverables as part of a team responsible for critical infrastructure.

· Experience with Microsoft EFLOW, Python and data acquisition systems for data collection from OT automation systems

· The ability to consume requirements and translate them into deliverables as part of a team responsible for critical infrastructure

· Working understanding of DevOps practices; this needs to be evidenced to show the ability to be able to work in operations as well as to be part of a team developing and delivering solutions as required

· Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to group problem-solving.
