Job Summary
Accountable for proactively managing the interface between IT and stakeholders within Accounting & Finance, supporting process optimization, automation initiatives, ERP evolution and reporting capabilities.
Focus areas include GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Treasury, Reporting, Budgeting & Forecasting, Consolidation, Internal Controls and Audit requirements.
The role combines Business Relationship Management, project delivery, business analysis and functional design responsibilities for the Accounting & Finance domain.
Job Responsibilities
Act as primary IT point of contact for Accounting & Finance.
Build trusted relationships with Finance stakeholders.
Understand end-to-end Finance processes and identify standardization and automation opportunities.
Lead process automation initiatives using workflow, AI, and automation capabilities.
Support D365 F&O and related Finance application roadmaps.
Ensure solutions meet compliance, governance, controls and audit requirements.
Manage Finance application vendors and implementation partners.
Translate business requirements into functional designs, process flows, solution blueprints and implementation specifications for delivery teams.
Review and validate functional designs proposed by internal teams, vendors and partners to ensure alignment with business requirements and enterprise standards.
Support RFx, vendor selection and business case development.
Lead projects from business demand and requirements definition through successful implementation and adoption.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve Finance processes, systems utilization and operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Competencies
Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience.
7+ years supporting Accounting & Finance functions.
Strong knowledge of GL, AP, AR, Treasury, Closing, Budgeting, Forecasting and Reporting.
Strong experience in business analysis, functional design and solution design activities.
Ability to document business requirements, process maps, user stories, functional specifications and solution designs.
D365 F&O experience highly desirable.
Experience with ERP implementations, enhancements, upgrades, support and process automation initiatives.
Strong stakeholder management and project leadership skills.
