RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition is one of the key deployment options for our customers cloud transformation. It provides a comprehensive cloud infrastructure and managed service offerings to our customers as an essential part of the overall Cloud Strategy of SAP. This enables customers to safeguard their existing SAP ERP investment, while benefiting from a new level of flexibility – tailoring the software to meet their specific needs, retaining company-specific configurations and customizations of their SAP ERP system, and accessing the latest capabilities that give their company a competitive advantage. 

Under RISE with SAP, SAP allows customers to run their SAP S/4 HANA and other SAP applications in a managed private cloud environment either in SAP’s own datacentres, IaaS Hyperscalers, SAP Premium Suppliers or in customers’ own existing datacentres. SAP has established strategic partnerships with the major cloud infrastructure providers, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), to offer customers maximum choice for their SAP private cloud deployment. 

Within the Customer Services & Delivery (CS&D) Board area, the mission of the Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) Delivery organization is to run and operate SAP’s private cloud offering.  

We are looking for an SAP Technology professional expert as Migration – Basis & DB Expert for the Enhanced Operations Service (EOS) team, should be  well versed in delivering consistent and high-quality results. You will contribute to SAP's strategy by supporting our customers with their SAP S/4HANA adoption on their path to the Intelligent Enterprise.

Candidate should have a proven track record in at least in areas like SAP Basis, HANA DB, Server management, Critical Situation Handling, Project Management, with a strong technical and process background serving as a trusted advisor responsible for safeguarding and optimizing strategic customers' investments in SAP Enterprise Cloud Services. 

As an EOS Migration Expert specializing in Basis,Database area you are responsible to : 

• Lead technical and architectural discussions with customers, develop solution roadmaps, and implement SAP support methodologies.


• Extensive experience with SAP S/4HANA architecture, conversion, and migration strategies.


• Conduct customer landscape analysis and map on-premises requirements to cloud environments.


• Perform detailed assessments of non-standard solutions for seamless SAP-to-cloud transitions.


• Facilitate end-to-end knowledge transfer of customer landscapes analysis to delivery teams


• Resolve performance issues and any issues occurring during cutover and migration to ensure successful go live.


• Proficiency in SAP high availability, disaster recovery, networking, and virtualisation technologies (e.g., load balancers, virtual machines).


• Own, lead, execute, and coordinate all migration and build tasks while delivering high-quality services for stable operations.


• Govern and report end-to-end system delivery in the System Build Service Area, while controlling SLAs to meet customer system delivery commitments and internal KPI/SLA commitments.Quick response during escalations. Coordinate and orchestrate the work between the various teams with Strong collaboration with other units within and outside EOS - Enterprise Cloud Service units.


• Bring in Continuous Improvement Initiatives, to address customer pain points and enhancements in the Service Delivery   


• Streamline standard operating procedures by focussing on automation enhancements.  

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technologies


• Minimum 15+ years of SAP Technical Administration experience, specializing in SAP Basis administration.


• Along with SAP Basis admin, Excellent hands-on experience on SAP NetWeaver, Business Objects, SAP HANA and SAP Sybase ASE, Content Server, Convergent Charging, MDM, GK Software, OpenText, SAP Cloud Connector, TOMCAT, IDM, SCM Optimizer, SAP Mobile Platform, TREX, Business Connector


• In-depth knowledge of S/4HANA architectures, migration paths, and associated tools.


• Comprehensive understanding of SAP high availability, disaster recovery, networking, and virtualization technologies (e.g., load balancers, virtual machines).


• Hands-on experience in  hyperscale cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP).


• Required proficiency in Linux Pacemaker environments.


• Working knowledge and E2E understanding of Network and Storage


• Expertise in TCP/IP suite, IP routing, NAT, firewalls, DNS, LDAP, and HTTP proxies.


• Solid grasp of IT security principles and OS hardening practices.


• Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Shell, Perl, Python, Go) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef).


• Experience in Brownfield OS/DB, cloud migration to hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and in depth experience in green field migration


• Hands-on experience with SAP HANA/ASE; familiarity with SQL/MaxDB is advantageous.


• Background in Technical Architecture, Implementation, and Change Management methodologies.


• Expertise spanning multiple SAP and non-SAP technologies.


• SAP S/4HANA conversion and OS/DB Migration certifications are highly desirable.


• Experience with Managed/Hosting services or SAP Private Cloud or Public Cloud Operations/Support is an added advantage.


• Hands-on experience with working on System Copies, DB export-import, and disaster recovery strategy, Client administration, Application upgrades and migrations is essential.


• Experience in working with Linux pacemaker environment is required.


• Strong capability to coordinate delivery and projects as a technical lead in heterogeneous, geographically dispersed teams.


• Experience in working with ITIL framework, certification.


• Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills.


• Strong customer service focus with Customer first Mindset
