Job Description – IT Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Engineer to support software development, application maintenance, IT infrastructure operations, and information security initiatives. The role involves developing and maintaining web applications, managing IT systems and servers, ensuring compliance with security standards, and supporting business operations through reliable technology solutions.

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in web development, system administration, cybersecurity practices, and troubleshooting while ensuring compliance with QMS and ISMS requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development & Support

• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain web applications using PHP, MySQL, Laravel Framework, and frontend technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Bootstrap.
  
• Assist in coding, debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving application and website-related issues.
  
• Maintain software applications in accordance with approved architecture standards and development methodologies.
  
• Ensure secure coding practices and compliance with development best practices.
  
• Participate in application enhancements, upgrades, and system integrations.
  

IT Infrastructure & System Administration

• Manage assigned IT infrastructure tasks, including server administration, access management, and routine system monitoring.
  
• Perform system maintenance activities, software updates, patch deployments, and backup verification.
  
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
  
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and server-related issues.
  

Information Security & Compliance

• Implement approved security measures and technical controls in line with organizational ISMS requirements.
  
• Apply security patches, perform vulnerability remediation activities, and support information security audits.
  
• Assist in incident response activities and support investigation of system and security issues.
  
• Ensure adherence to data protection, confidentiality, access control, and information security policies.
  
• Support compliance initiatives related to ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 27001 requirements.
  

Collaboration & Documentation

• Collaborate with business users and cross-functional teams to understand and address technical requirements.
  
• Maintain technical documentation, system records, change logs, and implementation reports.
  
• Participate in project planning, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support activities.
  
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend process enhancements.
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  
• 2–3 of experience in web application development and IT support.
  
• Experience working with PHP, Laravel Framework, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap.
  
• Knowledge of server administration, networking concepts, and operating systems.
  
• Understanding of information security principles and cybersecurity best practices.
  
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, containerization, or DevOps tools.
  
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and vulnerability assessment processes.
  
• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or regulated industries is an added advantage.
